INCA Media Labs *

The INCA Media Labs are student spaces geared toward teaching, learning, and hands on activities. The Media Labs serve as the core of all of our programming, including our new four-year Journalism and Communications degree, at the First Nations University of Canada, providing students with hands-on training across podcasting, radio, social media, and television production. Integrated throughout the curriculum, the labs function as dynamic learning environments where students apply storytelling, technical, and ethical skills in real-world contexts, guided by Indigenous perspectives and community engagement. Through access to industry-standard equipment and collaborative production spaces, students develop practical competencies in audio and visual storytelling, digital content creation, and broadcast media, preparing them for diverse careers in contemporary media landscapes while grounding their work in Indigenous knowledge systems and community-driven communication practices
